APPAREL CAD TECHNICIAN – **MATERNITY COVER**
Salary: Up to €25,000pa
Location: Florence Area (Italy)
Reports to: CAD/CAM Manager

Type of Contract: **12 months fix-term contract maternity cover with possibilities to be extended**
Main duties:
This position will be responsible for making accurate interpretations and translations of a design’s intent through product specifications. You will be required to enter patterns, create and elaborate them using the program CAD Lectra (Modaris) in order to generate accurate production patterns & technical construction packs, technical drawings, pattern cutting, grading and lay-planning (Diamino).
The Role:
-To conceptualise, visualise and create virtual artwork from sketch and layout to final product;
-To develop pre-production and production patterns/specs;
-To assist in fit analysis and garment specifications;
-To create 2D virtual patterns using pattern making CAD Lectra software;
-To capture fit comments in design program records;
-To advise on material, design and fit sew sample garments
-To complete specification packages, including: illustration, flat sketch with measurements, fabric, construction details, sewing instructions, trim sheet, and special applications;
-To analyse the fit, quality, and pattern of garments ensuring that products are developed in a manner consistent with established standards;
-To establish sizing and grading, fitting of samples, pattern making/factory pattern adjustments;
-To ensure fit analysis, specifications and detail construction reviews;
-To ensure that appropriate fit and grading is in place;
-To measure proto, fit, and top samples to evaluate their adherence to target specifications;
-To assist in the identification, validation, and resolution of product fit issues that arise in bulk production;
Profilo
-Fluent in Italian (written & spoken) is essential;
-Good level of English is preferred;
-Excellent ability to use Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Professional and CAD with emphasis on Lectra system;
-Must have experience in technical design, pattern making, fitting, and specs;
-Must be able to perform efficiently in a high pressure, fast paced environment;
-Understanding of product engineering and manufacturing processes;
-Strong organizational skills and attention to details;
-Ability to interact with others and resolve conflict within various levels of the organization;
-Sense of teamwork and ability to multitask;
