TREASURY AND CASH MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Type of Contract:**1 year fix-term contract with strong possibilities to become permanent **
Main duties:
Responsible for the Global Cash management/Liquidity Management and to perform various cash, disbursement and cash accounting activities within the Corporate Treasury function.
The Role:
-To perform accounting functions within the various financial systems, bank reconciliations, audit inquiries & backup of other core treasury functions: e.g. cash position & electronic payments, as assigned;
– To assist on the payments authorisation , daily payments and follow up with Italian and foreigner banks, client & vendor billing inquiries;
-To be responsible for opening and closing bank accounts with new and existing banking partners;
-To provide expert knowledge of banking partner’s systems , operational systems & Excel;
-To contribute to maintenance of accounting data& provide support as needed to Finance Dpt.;
-To manage various forms of accounting data, such as that related to accounts payable &accounts receivable;
-To maintain database of all relevant bank information (contact info, bank info, etc..);
-To analyse documents related to expenses, such as checks;
-To be responsible for the weekly, monthly and ad-hoc treasury reporting to Senior Management;
-To assist with weekly cash-flow reconciliation, for reporting to Board of Management;
-To provide expert knowledge of banking partner’s systems , operational systems & Excel;
-To review consolidated numbers and test for reasonableness;
-To go the “extra mile” to meet targets.
Profilo
-Fluent in Italian (Written & spoken) is essential
-Fluent in English (Written & spoken) is essential
-Strong previous experience in a similar role and knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures that is reflective of the financial services industry.
-Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices and principles.
-Proven, solid Excel skills and exposure to automated accounting systems
-Ability to adapt and be innovative through problem solving is essential.
