Role Mission
The e-Business Applications Architect will be the focused in defining and delivering robust, flexible and globally-scalable technology capability that enable digital business objectives. He will coordinate all technical activities from application stand point for Gucci.com and for all other Gucci sites and digital applications and he/she will be responsible for the overall digital technical tasks. He/she will manage the processes, the systems and the vendors of the development activities to ensure successful development delivery. He/she will be liaison for development related tasks with the stakeholder in the digital business area as well as with the other MIS areas.
Key Accountabilities
Function as the in-house technical expert on hybris, supporting both development and business teams
Oversee hybris development vendors, including performing code reviews and managing on implementation decisions
Own the release management process and handling code merging across both support and project teams
Manage the development of the ecommerce back end systems
Be the internal evangelist for how best to leverage hybris across a global implementation
Manage and deliver multiple priorities in a constrained timeline
Expert Level Ability to Develop Rapport with Influential People, both remotely and in-person
Strong problem solver with the ability to analyze cause and effect relationships
Proactively propose alternate solutions to the customer as and when needed
Self-driven, motivated and results orientated
Strong listening skills and solution orientated approach
Manage escalation procedure to Technical Digital services Director for development issues when needed
Desired Education & Experience
Minimum of 4 Years on HYBRIS, over all 8 + years, Strong in E commerce Technologies
Good experience in handling multi-technology environments
Must demonstrate mastery of hybris localization and multi-site functionality
Experience in JAVA Object Oriented programming (JAVA Spring Framework) is required
Experience with J2EE and Multi-Tier Internet Architecture is an asset
Experience in the e-Commerce industry is an asset, particularly an in-house retail environment
Knowledge of SQL, Relational Database Management Systems (DBMS), HTTP, HTML and XML is required
Bachelor degree in Computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or any other with background in Information Technology, Information system, ecommerce or equivalent work experience
Experience/ Knowledge with Oracle EBS is an asset.
Strong experience in API managment
Good Knowledge of hosting and Content delivery Network
Experience in using GIT
Strong e-commerce experience. (WW international site)
Understanding of SEO, SEM
